The Edge of Reality

Five Bedroom Soundfront House, Located in Corolla. The Currituck Club

Tonight my three boys and I were playing a game in the car which we often play when traffic is a nightmare. It involves guessing each others favorite things. We went through naming our favorite food, movie and then started talking about our favorite place in the world. "What is your very favorite place in the whole world?" I asked. Without hesitation, my five year old said, "The beach house in North Carolina." That is how great The Edge of Reality is! (And it rained for 3 days while we were there).

If you are like me, spending hours at 2a.m. looking through endless websites searching for the perfect house, seriously, just stop. Whether you are single looking for a fun weekend with the girls, a family or a group of neighbors, there is no way this house can disappoint anyone. Just stop looking! Book The Edge...you will never have to look for another house in the Outer Banks again.

Totally true story...

Three years and counting!

We have just completed our third vacation at "The Edge" and have reserved it for a forth year. Our home away from home is a great get away. The home is beautiful and a wonderful place to stay. The location within a golf community, the pool, hot tub and fantastic view of the Sound are some of the reasons we continue to make the trip to the Outer banks from our home in Maryland.

This was, without a doubt, the best family vacation that we have experienced since all of our children have been born (ages 7, 5 & 5 yrs. old). Given that "The Edge" is on one of the highest points in Corolla, it afforded us the opportunity to open the windows and let the ocean breeze waft through the house.

Our kids made a daily routine of learning to swim in "the Edge's" pool or just playing in the pool with all of the pool toys that we found in the garage. After lunch, we headed to the beach with some boogie baords and beach toys (also found in the garage). The Currituck Club beach shuttle stop is visible from the house, so getting to the beach was easy.

We rarely went out to eat because the kitchen was spacious and very well equipped and there is a gas grill on the deck. Within 0.5 mile of the beach house is a Harris-Teeter, an upscale grocery store, with everything we needed to enjoy awesome homecooked meals either in the beautiful dining room or on the screened-in-porch.

After dinner we enjoyed watching the sun set over the sound as we relaxed in the hot tub.
