LOCATION - LOCATION - LOCATION:
The Edge of Reality is located on one of the premier sites within The Currituck Club. From the front of the house you can enjoy views of the Atlantic Ocean. From the back of the house you have spectacular, unobstructed views of The Currituck Sound. You can watch the play on the 18th fairway and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets from any of the many decks.

FURNISHINGS:
From the minute you enter The Edge, you will recognize the warm and inviting finishes this beach cottage has to offer. From the crisp elegance of the silver-flecked granite counter tops in the kitchen, to the quality of artwork hung throughout. You realize you have made a great destination decision.

HOME FEATURES:
The Edge features 12 ft. ceilings in the main living room, ceramic tiled floors (kitchen, living room/dining room), plush carpeting (bedrooms, raised loft and Ships Watch), upgraded cabinetry (kitchen and baths), granite counter tops, ceramic backsplash, double ovens and kitchen bar with 4 stools. There are plenty of large windows, balconies and decks to maximize your views from all sides of the house.

KITCHEN HIGHLIGHTS:
The fully furnished kitchen (should you want to cook) features a large refrigerator with a freezer drawer below, dishwasher, garbage disposal, self-cleaning ovens, smooth top range and a microwave. To compliment these appliances the kitchen also features all utensils, plates, cookware, baking and serving dishes to bring out the chef in all of us. The kitchen also includes a coffee maker, electric coffee bean grinder, toaster, blender, food processor, waffle maker, electric mixer, George Foreman grill and even a bread machine.

DINING ROOM HIGHLIGHTS:
The dining room features a table that will seat 10 adults comfortably, with additional seating for 4, at the built-in counter bar. You will run out of guests or family members before you will run out of seating when it is time to eat.
Right off the dining room is a screened in porch that has a picnic table with benches and two comfortable chairs. The porch also boasts a ceiling fan, with light fixture, that makes this area perfect for that evening game of cards, a quick snack or to set up a jigsaw puzzle to work on while you are at The Edge.

LIVING ROOM HIGHLIGHTS:
The living room offers a full size couch, a matching love seat and large coffee table. There are also two wing chairs with their own side table and lamp for reading or relaxing. There are 3 large pillows which you can use to sit on the floor and a rolling foot stool which you can use anywhere. Sit back and enjoy TV (local and some premium channels),watch one of the 70 movies that are available for your viewing pleasure or listen to the stereo. Both TV and stereo are made even better with the extra speakers throughout the room. You are welcome to read any of the wonderful books that are in the book shelf next to the fireplace. There are more books in the twin bed bedroom on the second floor!

DEN/OFFICE:
Located down the hall from the main living room is the den/office. There is a computer & internet access. The Edge is set up for wireless access also. The couch in the den/office opens to a queen size bed and is quite comfortable. The French doors leading into this room can be closed and there are blinds to make it private should you need to.

FIRST FLOOR MASTER BEDROOM & BATH HIGHLIGHTS:
The master bedroom features a king size premium mattress bed with an upholstered headboard and dual side tables with lamps. With this distinctively appointed bedroom you will get a sense of the magnificence of the OBX by standing in the alcove and taking in the outstanding views of The Sound. The bedroom has a TV that is stored in its own cabinet that also has drawers below for clothing. There is a full size dresser and extra drawers in the bedside tables. Along with the closet, you will have lots of places to unpack and feel right at home. Enjoy the views of the OBX from the luxury of your bed, or step out on the deck through the French doors to get the full vista.

The master bath features a full-size stand up custom tiled shower, adjacent to a full-size whirlpool tub. These features along with a huge counter with sink and vanity area will make getting ready that much easier.

MAIN FLOOR DECK HIGHLIGHTS:
The deck outside the main level is large and has numerous places to sit and enjoy the view. There are stereo speakers for your listening enjoyment and also a gas grill. Once you are on the deck you may not want to come back inside. The deck is as comfortable as any outdoor sitting area you have ever seen. There is also a 6 person hot tub on this deck that is the best place to be, with a good beverage and a perfect sunset. I am sure you will agree this is as good as it gets.

POWDER ROOM & LAUNDRY ROOM:
Right off the kitchen area is a small hallway that has the powder room.
There is a full size washer and dryer off the kitchen area. Also in this room are notebooks that have instructions on how to use any and all equipment at The Edge. There is an ironing board, iron, small stepstool and some cleaning supplies stored in this laundry also.

SECOND FLOOR LOFT:
On the top level of The Edge there is the loft. This area features a 10 ft. ceiling, couch with a chaise, 2 huge comfortable chairs, 2 wicker wing chairs, side tables and lamps. There is a TV with both local and some premium channels, and a DVD player. Walk through the French doors and out onto the deck and be blown away by this birds-eye view of The Currituck Sound. There are 2 built-in benches so you will always have a place to sit and enjoy, what could be perhaps, the best view in the northern OBX.

SECOND FLOOR MASTER SUITE:
This master suite features a king size premium mattress bed, 2 side tables(with storage area) with lamps, dresser that has a TV in it and storage drawers, large closet, a white wicker rocking chair and nice ocean views. This suite also has it very own private deck with a built in bench. You can see both the ocean and sound from this deck. This suite has a huge private custom tiled bathroom with double sinks and an enormous shower.

2 OTHER SECOND FLOOR BEDROOMS:
There are 2 more bedrooms on the second floor. One features a king size premium mattress bed, 1 side table with lamp, a full dresser, gentleman's dresser with TV atop, full closet, and a comfortable wing chair. This bedroom also has a small balcony that has spectacular Sound views.

The other second floor bedroom features 2 twin beds, 1 side table with lamp, 2 dressers with a bookcase, TV and a full closet. This bedroom has great views of the ocean.

SECOND FLOOR HALL BATH:
Right outside the 2 bedrooms and convenient to the raised loft and ships watch is a full bath. This bath has 2 sections which separates the front sink area with the rest of the bath. This bath has a full size tub with shower included.

SECOND FLOOR LAUNDRY ROOM:
There is another laundry room located on the second floor for your convenience. It features a stacked full size washer and dryer.

SHIPS WATCH:
Take another small flight of stair from the second floor main hallway and you will enter the ships watch. This is a small quiet area that has an upholstered chaise lounge, small side table and floor lamp. The ships watch looks out over the ocean and is a perfect place to sit quietly in the morning with you coffee and watch as the sun comes up. There is no better place to read a book or just sit and enjoy the ocean views.

LOWER LEVEL RECREATION ROOM:
This room features a full sized pool table, wall mounted TV with DVD player, 2 chairs, 2 tables and floor lamp. There is also a wet bar that features a granite counter top, a small under counter refrigerator, microwave, sink and plenty of cabinet space. There is access to the garage, outside, downstairs bedroom and downstairs full bath from this recreation room. Open the sliding door and you are steps away from the outside shower, fish cleaning sink, and in-ground pool!

LOWER LEVEL BEDROOM:
This room features 2 twin beds with premium mattresses, 1 side table with lamp, full size dresser, TV, closet and a rocking chair. There is a door that leads directly into the full bath. This is the bedroom that the teens will enjoy, tucked away from the main living area but close to the fun stuff!!

LOWER LEVEL FULL BATH:
This full bath was designed and fits the needs of the guests staying in the bedroom on the lower level, the people using the recreation room and also swimmers who need to use the facility but are dripping wet. There is an exterior door to this full bath so guests can get directly into this room without tracking water throughout the house. The rain head shower attachment makes this a fabulous place to clean up after a day on the beach.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The Edge of Reality is a non- smoking home, and we also do not invite pets. Sorry.

However, there are 8 TV's, 3 DVD's, computer with internet access, wireless access for your laptop, a gas grill, outdoor shower (with rain-head attachment), fish cleaning station, a game closet, hot tub, private pool (lighted for evening swimming) and VIEWS, VIEWS, VIEWS!!! The Edge is located very close to a trolley stop, so getting to and from the beach is a snap. There is a hose, with sprayer, between the garage doors to wash off sand. The front porch has 8 Adirondack chairs so you can sit out front and people watch or enjoy the ocean views.
We designed and built this beautiful beach cottage to someday be our primary residence. When you take the time to look around you will realize that this IS our home and we enjoy having you as our guests. After your vacation at our beach cottage you will understand why we named the place

Village Realty Features:

All bed linens and towels are furnished and beds are made prior to arrival. A starter set of toilet paper, paper towels and hand soaps is provided. Village Realty will clean the home on check out day.
